Since its formation in 2003, Altor has achieved its aim of building a highly talented investment team with the scope and skill set to execute and actively manage a portfolio similar in size and scale to those of large-cap private equity investors.

Altor’s investment team consists of 25 professionals, representing each Nordic country, all having international experience in fields such as private equity, consulting, investment banking and various industrial sectors. Altor is led by nine Partners who have built up successful track records of working with and investing in Nordic businesses.

Together, the team has approximately 125 years of experience in private equity, 85 years in consulting and various industries, and close to 30 years in investment banking. The mix of professional backgrounds allows each portfolio company team to be staffed with expertise and skills relevant to its specific value creation agenda.

Representatives from all Nordic countries help uphold local networks and understanding of each of the four markets. The team operates out of one main office in Stockholm to promote a shared culture and values, and to facilitate rapid decision making, efficient communication and cross-staffing of deal teams. In addition, local offices have been established in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Oslo to further enhance local presence and facilitate efficient project work.
