About Papyrus

Papyrus Group, headquartered in Mölndal, Sweden, is Europe's third largest paper merchant with 2007 revenues of approximately EUR 2 billion.

Papyrus operates in 22 countries across Europe, selling approximately 1.9 million tons of paper annually. Altor acquired Papyrus in 2008 from Stora Enso.

Papyrus' product portfolio includes coated and uncoated paper, board & technical specialities, graphical specialities as well as consumables. Typical end customers include printers, publishers, industry, public sector and cleaning companies.

Altor's strategic agenda for Papyrus is to develop a customer-oriented and entrepreneurial organisation employing empowered, high performing people. Altor plans to develop a world class infrastructure around Papyrus with highly efficient logistics setup to serve its customer base. In addition to organic improvements, Altor will evaluate add-on investment candidates in the focus markets and opportunities to further enhance the company's profitability by improving its product offering.

Altor will support the company's management and work together with external industry experts on the board.
