About Relacom

Relacom is the world’s leading independent network service provider with more than 17,000 employees globally and revenues exceeding EUR 1 billion.

The combined company operates in 17 countries worldwide - from a strong base in the Nordic region through a large presence in Latin America as well as throughout Asia and Europe. Relacom’s business concept is to provide exceptional, field-managed network services at homes, in offices and on networks. Performing construction, installation and maintenance services as an independent player, Relacom is able to offer unique synergies, cost savings and quality improvements on both a local and global basis for many of the world's leading operators and system vendors.

Relacom was created through the merger of Telavie and Flextronics Network Services. Telavie, formerly known as Bravida Telecom, was the leading provider of network services in Norway, with approximately 1,900 employees and revenues of €175 million. Telavie was originally the in-house network service, maintenance and construction unit of Telenor, the incumbent Norwegian telecom operator.

Altor acquired Telavie in December 2004. In August 2005 Relacom was created through the merger of Telavie with Flextronics Network Services, a division of Flextronics based on an outsourcing contract from the incumbent Swedish telecom operator, Telia, and a number of other units serving other customers in the Nordic region and the rest of the world.

Altor aims to assist Relacom's management in improving the company’s operating performance, particularly in the Nordic “home markets”, and in fuelling the growth of the company further in existing as well as new markets through organic initiatives, additional outsourcing transactions and selected potential acquisitions.
