About Lindorff GroupLindorff Group is the leading debt collection company in the Nordic region, and one of the leading player on a global basis. Altor created the current group by acquiring Lindorff Holding AS in Norway from GjensidigeNor and Contant Oy in Finland from Sponsor and Nordea in late 2003. GjensidigeNor and Sponsor have minority shares in Lindorff Group. Lindorff Group has since then further strengthened its position in the Nordic region through the acquisitions of the in-house collection and portfolio work-out units of Nordea and Swedbank in Sweden and Adviso AS in Norway. In addition, Lindorff has through the acquisition of Transfair, the #2 player in the Netherlands, taken a first step towards a larger scale expansion on the European mainland. Altor saw potential in the fragmented Nordic receivables management market and the varying operational and financial performance of the industry players. The plan was to identify attractive assets across the region and leverage best practices in each company to create a pan-Nordic player with the most attractive products and services alongside industry leading operational and financial performance. This strategy also included a refocusing on the receivables management value chain to ensure full service provisioning “from the moment a client conducts a sale until the money is on the client’s account”, and to fully leverage the scale in information gathering and analyses inherent in the collection business. After successfully delivering on the plan, Lindorff has now broadened it strategic scope and initiated a larger scale roll-out of its business model into key market on mainland Europe. |
